Our story
Dear customer, I would like to take a little trip into the past with you and tell you the history of our company: In 1952, Dr. Zauber, together with Prof. Dr. Denner and the shipbuilding engineer Heinz Lude, founded the "Berliner Wassertechnische Gesellschaft Dr. Zauber & Co." in West Berlin to produce "filter nozzles for all systems and mass catchers". The company did well and expanded. In 1960, Dr. Zauber left the company and the company was renamed "Berliner Wassertechnische Gesellschaft H. Lude & Co.". His wife Elisabeth Lude became the new limited partner. Since Heinz and Elisabeth Lude loved the Allgäu, which they knew from many visits to relatives in Pfronten, they bought a piece of land there and in 1970 the company moved to Kemptener Strasse 34 in Unterthingau. Now they could have the beauty of the mountains around them every day while they worked. His son, Karl-Heinz Lude, who was 26 at the time, was already working in the company and joined the company with his wife, Dagmar Lude. The addition of "Berliner" was dropped and the company was simply called "Wassertechnische Gesellschaft H. Lude & Co." Heinz and Karl-Heinz registered many patents, presented themselves at trade fairs, exported all over the world and always kept an eye on the business and customers in Germany.
Until Heinz died in 1997, he was the head of the company with all his heart and soul, advising customers shortly before his death at the age of 88 and managing the business together with his son. After Heinz Lude's death, a GmbH & Co. KG was founded. The partners were his widow Elisabeth Lude, his son Karl-Heinz Lude and his grandchildren Ariane Suchlich-Lude and Barbara Pauer-Lude. Unfortunately, Heinz Lude died far too early in 2003 at the age of 62. A month later, his mother followed at the age of 82. Dagmar, who had inherited the company share from her husband, and her daughters now had to make a decision about the business. Because even though they were partners, we had never worked in the company. Should they sell it? No! They were determined to continue running the business for the benefit of the employees. They decided to appoint Ariane's husband, Jochen Suchlich, as managing director. He had a lot of commercial experience and, they were sure, could run the company well. Today we can look back on a flourishing business that seems to have risen to any obstacle. Jochen has established himself over the past 17 years and is successfully running the business in the spirit of the family. We will therefore remain your reliable and competent supplier in the future.
That is what we stand for.
